The first pie. This is a chicken and mushroom made with a so called deep fill pie maker. Main problem was the bottom shortcrust pastry was under cooked although the filling was delicious. Turns out the pie maker is also a bitch to clean.

Enter the Pie plate! Same chicken and mushroom filling but now cooked conventionally in the oven. Now a delicious filling and and the shortcrust pastry is cooked!

Rustle up. Had some mince meat and veggies so made a meat and potato pie. Perhaps not sexy but very tasty!

There was a fish pie in between but alas no photographer on hand, so on to the big one. I mean literally this was the biggest pie so far made in a pie tin. This is my steak and mushroom pie. While all my other pies had a puff pastry top this also had a short crust top. Lovely pie but alas didn’t get the consistency right, so the filling ran out once cut. Good for four portions though. Will try this one again with the pie plate.
